What Is Swindon Animation?

Hey! 👋I’m Leah Panigada-Carey

I’ve been a 2D animator for over 10 years now and have worked professionally on many animated TV shows and games.When I moved to Swindon a few years ago, I realised that there were no dedicated spaces, groups or studios for animation.That is why I’ve created Swindon Animation!

Through Artsite, I now have a studio space that I would like to open up to animation-curious locals who would like to try their hand at making some animation.There will eventually be options for Stopmotion, 2D digital, Multi-Media and paper cut-out animation.It is important that people get the chance to experiment with animation and bring their creations to life.Animation should be accessible for everyone to try out!

SwindonAnimation began at the SwindonArtsFringeFestival in June 2025.

I had the pleasure of being a part of the Signal Festival and speaking to the young creatives of Swindon who want to get into creative industries!

Swindon Open Studios

Swindon Open Studios will be happening this September! If you'd like to come have a chat and nosy around the studio, come visit me as a part of the Artsite Studios at 10 Theatre square on the 20th/21st of September 2025._{(My studio won't be open on the 27th/28th September 2025)}

I'll be running a free flipbook workshop with the wonderful folks at Swindon Story Shed in the Brunel shopping centre on the 30th of July from 11 till 4pm.
